Truth Telling Circles by Organizations That Work in Child Welfare Spaces
For decades, the child welfare landscape has been grounded in the values of safety, protection, and surveillance but disguised in the language of partnership, engagement, and family strengths. A benevolence myth permeates most child welfare organizations' lexicon, perpetuating child-saving ideologies in practice and policy. These TTCs will create a process for organizations to scrutinize their unique roles, historical and current, in sustaining and standing up against this child welfare industry.
